What This Service Actually Covers

TentHouz is a canopy, tent and event-equipment rental company, not a full-service event planning agency. We don't source caterers, book entertainers or manage your guest list. What we do is supply and install the physical structure around your event, the tent or canopy, the stage, the seating, the cooling and the lighting, and collect it afterward. If you searched for an event management company and landed here, this is the part of that job we cover: one supplier for the equipment and the labour to put it up, instead of coordinating four separate vendors for four separate deliveries.

What Drives the Cost

There's no flat rate for event setup because no two events use the same combination of equipment. The main variables are guest count and layout, a 100-pax cocktail setup needs less floor space than 100 seated banquet-style, canopy type and size, whether the venue is indoor or needs weather cover, and which add-ons come with it: staging height, air-coolers versus fans, event lighting, carpet or walkway flooring. A same-day dinner setup and a two-day product launch build cost differently even at an identical guest count, because crew hours and rental days differ. Lead Time & Booking

Most bookings come in two to six weeks ahead of the event date. Weekends, the run-up to Chinese New Year and year-end annual dinner season book out faster, so a Saturday slot in that window is worth locking in a month or more out. Venues with their own paperwork, malls, industrial sites, some government grounds, often want proof of insurance or a site plan before they'll let a crew in, and that approval can take longer than the equipment build itself. Coverage & Site Visits

We deliver, install and retrieve across Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang and Johor. For anything larger than a straightforward canopy-and-seating setup, multi-structure builds, tiered staging, venues with tight access or uneven ground, we do a site visit first so the layout is agreed before build day, not renegotiated on it.

Is TentHouz a full event management company?

No. We supply and install the physical equipment, canopies, staging, seating, cooling, lighting and flooring, and retrieve it afterward. We don't run the programme, book entertainment or manage other vendors. If your event needs that layer of coordination on top, plan for a separate events coordinator to run alongside our setup.

What's actually included in an event setup booking?

Delivery, installation and collection of whatever equipment you book, canopy or tent, tables and chairs, staging, cooling and lighting, plus a site survey for bigger or more complex venues. Anything outside the physical build, like catering or entertainment booking, isn't part of this service.

How far in advance should I book for a corporate event or wedding reception?

Two to six weeks is typical. Book earlier for a weekend date in the Chinese New Year or year-end annual dinner period, since those slots go first.

Do you provide a site survey before the event?

Yes. for bigger or more complex venues we visit the site to check access, ground condition and layout before build day. Straightforward canopy-and-seating jobs usually don't need one.

How much does event setup cost?

It depends on guest count, canopy size, and which add-ons, staging, cooling, lighting, flooring, you need, so we quote per event rather than publish a flat rate. Tell us the venue, date and headcount and we'll get a number back the same day.

Can you set up alongside other vendors we've already booked?

Yes. most of our corporate and wedding jobs run alongside a caterer, decorator or AV vendor booked separately. Tell us who else is on site and when they're arriving so our crew builds around their schedule instead of into it.
