We No Longer Rent Instant Cameras

We used to rent Instax-style instant cameras with film included. We have stopped, because our supplier can no longer source the film reliably, and a camera that runs out of film halfway through a dinner is worse than no camera at all.

We would rather say that plainly here than take the booking and disappoint you on the night.

What Does The Same Job Better

Almost everyone who asked us for instant cameras wanted one thing: guests walking away holding a printed photo. A photo booth does that, without anyone having to ration the film.

• DSLR photo booth. A real camera body and studio strobes, printed on site. The sharpest print of the three and the usual pick for weddings and corporate dinners. From RM1,300 for a 3-hour session.
• Digital photo booth. Quicker between groups and cheaper per print, with sharing to a phone as well as the printed strip.
• Roaming photo booth. A crew member carries the booth to the guests instead of making them queue, which suits standing events.

Can I still rent an Instax camera from TentHouz?

No. We took it off our list in August 2026 when film supply became unreliable, and we are not accepting bookings for it.

What is the closest replacement for an instant camera?

A photo booth. Guests still leave holding a printed photo, but you also get studio lighting, a backdrop and a crew member on site for the whole session, with no film to run out.

Do photo booths print on the spot like an instant camera?

Yes. All three of our booths print on site. The DSLR and digital booths also send a soft copy to the guest's phone, which an instant camera never could.
