Green reads as calm against a hall full of white canopies and grey concrete, and it is the fastest way to make a bare floor look finished rather than merely covered. Grass carpet shows up most often at roadshows, garden-themed weddings, product launches on an exhibition floor and any event where the venue itself is plain and the flooring is doing the decorating.

It is built to be walked on in numbers. Hundreds of guests over a weekend do not wear a visible path into it the way a thin runner would, which is why roadshows and multi-day exhibitions favour it over a printed carpet.

Concrete, bare ground and everything between

Most jobs are one of two surfaces. Concrete and other hard flooring, like an exhibition hall, a car park or a school compound, is the straightforward case: the turf goes straight down with nothing underneath it. Bare or uneven ground, the kind you get in a garden setup or an open field, usually wants a platform system laid first so the turf sits flat instead of following every dip and root underneath. We check which case applies during the site conversation, not after the crew has already arrived with the wrong plan.

Sections are cut and joined to fit the area rather than sold as a single fixed size, and the joins are taped down flat along the seams so a heel does not catch an edge mid-walkway. Tell us the shape of the space, not just the total area, since an L-shaped booth or a corridor joins differently to an open square.

Indoors, outdoors and the weather question

The turf itself is waterproof and holds up outdoors in rain as well as sun, so a roadshow booth or a garden reception does not need to shut the flooring down because the forecast turned. Indoors it takes shoes, bare feet or guests sitting straight down on it without complaint. The one thing we do not recommend is walking on it barefoot right after a heavy downpour outdoors, simply because the ground underneath can still be wet even once the surface has drained.

Pricing and how we measure it

Grass carpet is quoted from RM6.60 per square foot, based on the area you actually need covered rather than a fixed roll price, since booth sizes and garden layouts rarely match a standard package. Send us the dimensions of the space, or let us take them during a site visit for a larger job, and the quote comes back against that number rather than a rounded-up estimate.

Other flooring and finishing options

Platforms, walking carpets and carpeted stages cover the rest of the flooring range if grass is not the right fit for part of the venue. For crowd and traffic flow, we also supply queue poles, standing signage and barricades. Beyond flooring, backdrops, tables, chairs and canopies are usually part of the same booking. Frequently asked questions

Can grass carpet be laid outdoors in the rain?

Yes. It is waterproof and holds up in rain or sun. We just do not recommend bare feet on it outdoors immediately after a heavy downpour, since the ground underneath can stay wet even once the surface itself has drained.

Is it priced per square foot or per roll?

Per square foot, from RM6.60, based on the area you need covered. We do not sell it as a fixed roll size because booth and garden dimensions rarely match one.

How are the joins finished so people do not trip on them?

How far ahead should I book?

Two weeks is comfortable for most bookings. Roadshow season and the year-end run book out earlier, so confirm sooner if your date falls in either.
