Laser, smoke and snow supplied together as a single effects package. It is the set most often booked for a countdown, a product reveal, a festive event or the closing number of a stage programme.

The three work together rather than separately. Laser beams are invisible in clean air, so the smoke machine is what makes them show. Snow reads best under a beam of light, which is why it usually runs at the same moment rather than on its own.

Where it earns its money

Effects are for a moment, not a whole evening. A snow burst timed to a first dance or a countdown to midnight lands. The same machines running for three hours stop being special and start being a haze problem.

Plan the cue with whoever runs your sound and lighting. If you are also booking stage lighting, the same operator can time both, which is how it should be done.

Check the venue first

The most common reason an effects booking fails is a smoke detector. Many indoor halls and hotel ballrooms will trip, and some will not allow smoke at all. Ask the venue before you book, not on the day.

Can we use just one machine instead of the set?

The package is quoted as a set because the three work together, and the laser needs the smoke to be visible. Ask us if you only want part of it and we will quote accordingly.

How long do the effects run?

Effects are best used at specific moments rather than continuously. Tell us your run sheet and we will plan the cues with you.
